Standard Insulating is one of 14 NYSERDA Home Performance contractors to receive a 2012 Century Club Award from the US Department of Energy.
The Century Club Award recognizes Home Performance contractors that have completed 100 or more energy efficiency projects through the Home Performance program’s “whole house” approach during the year. This is a comprehensive assessment approach to reduce energy usage where homeowners work with participating contractor trained in building science and accredited by the Building Performance Institute. Standard Insulating completed 157 of these projects in 2012. We are the only contractor in the Mohawk Valley region to receive this award!
“I am proud to be accepting this award. I am proud of our great team at Standard Insulating for their hard work and I’m glad we have the ability to help local homeowners receive money that helps to pay for these important projects,” said Jennifer Keida, co-owner of Standard Insulating.
Through funding from Green Jobs-Green New York, established by New York State to encourage energy efficiency, home energy assessments through the Home Performance program are free for most New Yorkers. NYSERDA also provides help in paying for the energy improvements through cash-back incentives and low cost financing.
“Congratulations to all award winners for reaching this milestone,” said Francis J. Murray Jr., President and CEO, NYSERDA. “New York State remains a national leader in energy efficiency through the hard work and dedication of these nationally recognized participating Home Performance contractors.”
